The purpose
Admissa focuses on United States college application essays for high school students and parents. Its review framework organizes questions about Structure, Specificity, Voice, Language, and Closure, with comments connected to the writing. The aim is to help a writer locate a concern and decide what to revise.
The writer remains responsible for the final text. A review does not speak for a college or predict an admission decision. Admissa is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Common App, the College Board, or any college or university.
The review scopes
The tools include Essay Grader, Common App Essay Grader, and Admission Essay Review. Their individual pages explain the different contexts in which the shared five-dimension rubric is used.
These examples are fictional and for illustration only. They show how a comment can appear beside a passage. Sample scores do not represent results for the text you enter or establish an admission prediction.
Keep ownership of your words
Read a comment as a question about the writing, then choose language that expresses your own experience accurately. Keep the application question nearby and compare a changed passage with the whole draft before deciding what to submit.
